I was suppose to go to the concert with my cousin, but it turned out he got his own ticket to 11/13 instead. Oh well ... I was glad that I made the decision on going to the concert instead of selling the tickets out. I was seating in the front middle section (Yes, the ticket was expensive, but it's cheaper than here), so she was singing directly to my section all the time. The section right next to me was reserved for her fans club, so lots of fans sang along all the songs and waving their glow sticks.

She chose to sing lots of the "unfamiliar" songs, but it was a bit turn off. Plus it's not a "tradition" concert where there are lots of pops, dancers, clothing, etc. She basically has 2 outfit throughout the whole show and no dancers. So, you are paying to listen to her voice for 2 hours (no encore as well).

In her concert, she has rearranged most of the songs, so it's a "new experience" to hear the songs. What I liked that most are 哭 and 寂寞流星群. The rearrangement on 哭 was so good. It brought out the "sadness" within the song. I was almost in tear eyes after the song. The graphics shown during 寂寞流星群 was so nice too. It makes you feel like a group of shooting stars are flying in the background. It just matches the song so well.

Oh, I missed watching concert in HK. It missed the concept of allowing you to take pictures ....

Unfortunately, the whole thing got cut at the last minute when it aired ... and it turned out to be the biggest talk of the week ... In order to clam down the angry fans, they released the uncut version online

成都黃龍九寨溝遊記 Part 1

11/3 香港->成都 - 洛帶古鎮 (Luodai Acient Town)

Luodai Ancient Town has a long history. It is said that it were a street in Han Dynasty, named “Wanjing Street”. 85% above residents in the town are the descendant of Hakka immigrants, mainly from Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hunan etc. One thousand years’ culture mingles with the various cultures. In this ancient town, we may see folklore, historic remaining, ancient architecture, and Hakka guildhalls anywhere, in addition to the well-preserved old streets, folk houses of Ming and Qing dynasties, and Golden Dragon Temple etc. In addition, the yearly Water Dragon Festival and Fire Dragon Festival are kinds of special activity Hakka people pass down for several hundred years. Luodai Town is one of first batch of important small towns in China, well-known provincial historic cultural town as well as the biggest one and only Hakka ancient town in west China. Therefore it enjoys a good reputation of “World Luodai, Eonian Hakka”. As one of core auxiliary meeting places of the 20th World Hakka Culture Conference of this year, Luodai’s Hakka culture plays an important role in the world.

成都黃龍九寨溝遊記 Part 2

11/4 成都->黃龍

Early morning plane ride from 成都 to 黃龍 airport. On the plane, you actually can see the hill tops above the clouds.




This is the toughest tourist spot throughout the whole trip. As Huanglong is located on a high plateau that is 3100-3800 meters above sea level. Due to low air pressure in the area, it's easy to obtain Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS).

黃龍風景名勝區位於中國西部四川省阿壩藏族羌族自治州松潘縣境內，與九寨溝毗鄰。黃龍風景名勝區處於三大地質構造單元的結合部，地理狀況特別複雜。整個風景名勝區總面積1340平方公里，區內雪峰林立，海拔5000米以上的就有7座。

黃龍溝背倚終年積雪的岷山主峰雪寶鼎，面臨碧澄的涪江源流。溝谷頂端的玉翠峰麓，高山雪水和涌出地表的岩溶水交融流淌。隨著流速緩急、地勢起伏、枯枝亂石的阻隔，水中富含的碳酸鈣開始凝聚，發育國固體的鈣華埂，使流水潴留成層疊相連的大片彩池群，繪出了黃龍奇觀的第一幅天然圖畫。碳酸鈣沉積過程中，又與各種有機物、無機物結成不同質的鈣華體，還有光線照射的種種變化，形成池水同源而色澤不一，人們便稱它為“五彩池”。

五彩池盛不下那麼多畫中秀色，於是水飛浪翻一路流淌，在長達2.5公里的脊狀坡地上，形成了氣勢磅薄的又一奇觀－－金沙鋪地。原來，在山水漫流處，沿坡佈滿一層層乳黃色鱗狀鈣華體。陽光下伴著湍急的水波，整個溝谷金光閃閃，看上去恰似一條巨大的黃龍從雪山上飛騰而下，“龍腰龍背”上的鱗狀隆起，則好象它的片片“龍甲”。這便是黃龍溝得名的緣由。明代（西元1368～1644年）在此修建了黃龍寺，用以奉祀黃龍。黃龍溝以它 “奇、絕、秀、幽”的自然景觀而蜚聲中外。

水池大的一、兩畝，小的幾平方米，如蹄、如掌、如菱角、如寶蓮、千姿百態。巨大的水流，沿溝谷漫遊，注入梯湖彩池，層層跌落，穿林、越堤、滾灘。進溝的第一池群，掩映在一片蔥郁的密林之中，穿過蒼枝翠葉，20多個彩池參差錯落，波光閃爍，層層跌落，水聲叮咚；有的池群池埂低矮，池水漫溢，池岸潔白，水色碧藍，在陽光照射下，五彩繽紛。有的湖中古木老藤叢生，如雄鷹展翅，似猛虎下山，惟妙惟肖，栩栩如生；有的池中生長著松、柏等樹木，或高出水面，或淹于水中，婀娜多姿，嫵媚動人，形似“水中盆景”。

黃龍風景名勝區還有珍貴的動植物資源。這裡的1500余種高等植物，多為中國所特有，其中屬國家一至三級保護植物的有11種。珍稀動物有大熊貓、金絲猴、牛羚、雲豹等國家重點保護動物。
