마녀유희

I can finally put a closure on Witch Yoo Hee (마녀유희, Ma Nyeo Yu Hui) now. Once again, I started this one by accident. All thanks to peer pressure. Everyone gave good review on this one when it first aired. Everyone said it's funny, cool, eye candy (the ultimate driving machines IMO). Another reason that this one catches alot of attention because the director is the same as My Girl. People suspect that it will be as good as his two previous hit drama, My Girl and Delightful girl of Choon Hyung*.

Well, although the story line is lame, male version of Full House -- the male lead repays the debt to the female lead by doing house chores and being a "love coach", but the director did a great job of bring it "alive". He actually turns the dull moments "interesting". It is my first time to see 3 male chasing after the female lead at once. In general, only the first and second male lead got the "chance" in most drama. But this one is a bit different, Yoo Hee (aka the Witch) has 6 pairs of eyes on her and she gets to KISS ALL 3 of them more than once (although it's just peck on the mouth kind of kiss, but still, how often will you see that in Kdrama). I have to agree with others that the drama ended on a really bad note. Many of the "sudden" change of heart doesn't make sense (ie: Yoo Hee's dad - he lets Yoo Hee go after the surgery. What's with that? Could it be Joon Ha puts in a new heart during surgery??)

I never watched any drama from the cast before (except for one), but I have to say Jae Hee (the male lead) is the only one here who catches my eye (in terms of acting). Although the chemistry between Han Gae In and him is not so strong (not sure if it's because of Han Gae In's character, or is it because she is already taken in real life), but at least you can tell that he is doing anything he can to make it "feels real". And yes, Prince Yul is also in this drama, he is shaking off his nice, caring prince image (like Shin Goon in Mawang) and become an evil doctor. Once again it proofs the he is not that great in acting (you'll know what I mean when you see the 3 car accident screenshoots**)

Overall, this is very fun to watch. This is the one that I can sit through 7 episodes in 2 days (last time I did that was Wedding with Jang Nara). Too bad that the drama couldn't sustain with the great start to the end. Otherwise, it could have make spot on my list.

헬로! 애기씨

I can never imagine myself watching up on the tv drama in Korea; but it did happened. With the spring drama lining up with big interest, my original plan was to catch only 1 of them which will be Mawang (마왕, The Devil), and I'll review once I have finished. I didn't expected that I'll be watching the other spring lineup as people are talking about how good they are.

The first drama to review out of the spring lineup is Hello!Aegisshi(헬로! 애기씨, Hello!Miss). Seriously, I'm not into the cast that much. I have seen Lee Da Hae (the female lead) in My Girl but I was actually deducting her points because she is too "Han Ji Eun alike" in Full House (aka Song Hye Kyo), especially the way she acts and the way she looks (hair, outfit, accessories), etc. The storyline is not so catchy either, one of those typical romantic comedy - a naive girl falls in love with a 3rd generation business tycoon.

So, what causes me to actually watch the drama? It's all shown in the picture. Ta da, that's right, it's the "house" that they are in got me to watch it. My curiosity on how they end up in that house got me into starting this drama. Paboh me, huh?

I thought I would give up the rest once I saw the "house". Actually, it's the opposite. I was kind of hook into it after 1/2 of episode 1. Most likely it's the silliness of Aegisshi from the country side vs the reality of the modern urban world. I have to say Lee Da Hae did a great job here. I can't find a trace of Yoo Ri (her character in My Girl) in her this time. She is 110% Lee Su Ha, 38th generation clan granddaughter, who is trying to protect the historical home, Hwa Ahn Dang.

Having 1/2 hr dosage of Aegisshi a day (I only have time to watch half of the episode each day) helps me to release my stress from work. It actually makes my day brighter!

He's Singin' In Korean

I found this clip very funny. It is just another joke on Asian, although it may have hurt the "Korean pride" a bit. But you got to give him some credit on being the Time Top 100 Most Influential Person in 2006, Time online poll #1 most influential person in the world in 2007, and The 100 Most Beautiful People with People Magazine last month at such a young age. Let's be generous to the "loser" here; let him take out his "jealousy" on his show through "He's Singin' In Koreannnnnnnnnnnnn". Consider this as part of the "promotion" on his US WT in June.

"Eat an apple a day, keeps the doctor away."

Oh yes, I'll be having my dose of apple regularly from now on.

My dedication to work has pays off. Besides recognition and bonuses, my company is treating me something nice this time. I'm proudly to announce my new work mate -- 17" Mac Power Book Pro .

I have got my hands on the machine for a little more 24 hrs now, but I have to say, Mac really impress me. I finally understands why people are lining up at the cashier in Apple store now a days. I'm still not use to navigate around the machine yet (ie: where is the right click button), but I'm getting a hang of it now. As a matter of fact, this entry is written on the machine .

I'm putting the battery on a stress test for the first time. I have been running heavy processing applications, Internet streaming, and video processing, and the battery life last about 3 hrs (with normal battery mode). Not so bad, since my VAIO also last that long . I'm going to try a different mode next time to see if it will make a difference.
