I never thought that I'll watch 고맙습니다 (Thank You). Just happened that cable tv was first showing it and I missed the showing because of work. I would have never thought that a local tv station will start the show on the week that I'm not as so busy. I guess fate is telling me that I should have watch it. Oh boy, it's so right, I really should be thankful for the sign ;)
Melodrama is not my cup of tea, especially Kdrama style. I never like those cry-my-eyes-out "disease-dying" drama. Although this writer is not known for writing "disease-dying" drama, but she is known for killing off characters. I have my disappointment with this writer after watching IJUKSA and a glimpse of Sang Doo, Let's Go To School. I purposely push back on MISA due to this. Somehow, her work just don't impress me much.
"Thank You" catches me because of the message behind the story. One should be thankful even if the world has mistreat you. Things never come so easily. You have to give in order to take. You should still pull your heart out when they needed even if everyone is turning their back to you when you needed them. If you have turn your back on things, don't think it'll be waiting for you, and don't ever think that you can get it back. Everything has moved on as time never waits for us. No one deserves to look down on anyone just because they are "sick". You'll get a fresh clean view on how one should approach life, how to treat others, even those that are not considerate of you, and most importantly, what is best for a person from their point of view, even when it breaks the traditional rules.
If I have become your miracle, then it’s because you first wakened my life’s miracle. To you, I say: “Thank You.”
I just love the chemistry between Lee Bom and Dr. Min. They are so perfect, like father and daughter from the start. Lee Bom deserves her guardian angle #1 to protect her forever. She is way to young and way to sweet. She shouldn't be getting this kind of treatment from the world. I believe he is the only one who can truly protect her besides Young Shin, without doubt and asking for nothing in return. I love how it balance human relationship and life-changing disease. If one thing that I can change from the drama, it got to be the ending. I don't like the open-ended ending. I wish they can give a definite answer on the ending (and I do wish they are all good and forever, Bom and Young Shin deserves the best).
